Spring may be winding down but Traindame and the Traingineer’s traveling schedule is just getting warmed up!
This past weekend I joined Chief Traingineer, Roger Farkash, to check in, talk trains and break bread with three of our dear custom layout clients…
First stop – Huntsville, Texas where we found Don MacCormack focused on enhancements to his layout in preparation for a Layout Tour Bus full of ‘Train Nuts’ from the Houston TCA National Conventional who will have the pleasure to experience Don’s custom layout, Wednesday June 22nd. Roger assisted with some scenic landscaping and poured water to a creek underneath the Erie bridge – I had some fun and video taped the lesson : ) Please feel free to watch instructional video on pouring in water here: Making water
Enjoy some photos from our first stop at Don’s:
Next stop was little further down the road to Shenandoah, Texas where Roger added some trees and landscaping for the final touches to Steve Tripp’s custom layout. I love what his wife had to say about Steve since the arrival of his layout last month; “He can’t stand to stay away from his train room, I know where I can find him!”
Also on the Houston TCA National Convention Layout tour will be Glen Rosenbaum’s Houston, Wharton & Pecos River Railroad, another custom layout by TW TrainWorx. You can see his layout Thursday, June 23rd and while you are there, be sure and get a picture taken with Traingineer, George Watson, who will be running trains on the HW&PR during the tour! Enjoy some past photos taken of the HW&PR …

TrainWorx Traingineers finished off an incredible October Overflow installing the custom TrainWorx layout for Railyard Hobbies, in Elverson, Pennyslvania. This is absolutely a definite MUST VISIT hobby store!
I say finish off because October in the TrainWorx studio was jam packed with great projects like:
Railyard Hobby layout
Lionel refurb section of Corporate Layout
Lionel Dallas Toy Fair
TM Video Shoot
Ronald McDonald House | Trains at North Park Layout additions
Lionel Big Boy Pedestal
Here are some behind the scenes pictures of our October Overflow – ENJOY!
Roger and I traveled to San Francisco this past weekend and assisted our good friends with the Lionel Collectors Club of America in their booth while attending the San Mateo – World’s Greatest Hobby show. We had a great time and like the old saying goes… a picture is worth a thousand words…so a bunch of pictures is worth thousands more – – – > Enjoy!
Congratulations to TrainWorx Chief Traingineer, Roger Farkash who was presented this award by the president of the LCCA, recognizing his outstanding service and leadership in his liaison role with the LCCA Junior Member Program!
We need to find a special spot on our testimonial wall for this plaque and the letter below! This Traindame is extremely proud of her guy 🙂
I love this letter Roger received in the mail today from a fellow LCCA Member… Enjoy!
What a great convention the LCCA put on last week for the members of the Lionel Collectors Club of America! They had Tours, Seminars, Boy Scouts earning Merit Badges, Lionel toy trains running on the Lionel layout (designed by Roger and crafted by TrainWorx Traingineers), a swap meet with gobs of train related goodies and wonderful folks from around the country, and of course the LCCA store where bargain after bargain was to be found.
Roger and I attended the banquet Saturday night and it being my first one… was a real treat! The silent auction was a lot of fun, dinner was delicious, and being with train enthusiasts…well – it was truly a traintastic evening!
Monday evening Roger conducted one of the Seminars – How to Carve Mountains for Your Layout and word on the ground was it was extremely well recieved. Check out the “Behind the Scenes” video I made…
This was the first time Roger and I were side-by-side working a train event. We were selling TrainWorx Bridges faster than the #88 NASCAR Driver whirling around the Texas Motor Speedway 🙂 Some pictures of the fun…
