TrainWorx, in Dallas, TX is the Official Lionel Layout Building since 2001

Another Residential Layout…delivered!

I’m telling you, it’s always a little sad to see a layout leave the shop on delivery day but once I hear from the Traingineers how much of a “WOW” factor is expressed by the owners…it’s all good!

Below is a collage of process shots taken of this 5′ x 10′ Lionel branded layout:

Hurst Process

Roger designed this table with a Pre-War style table base that included nifty (my vernacular) display shelves at each end.The table top is pine framing and drop edge topped with 1/2″ maple plywood then covered with 1″ blue foam…the silencer :). We used a combo FasTrack and Ross Track and as you can see… another hand carved, painted, scenically painted, landscaped two tunnel mountain was created.

We’ve really been putting our Laser Cutting machine to work…or I should say, Traingineer Russell is the master with the machine and cut one station and all the Dallas skyline facades which include LED lighting for this layout.

P.S. Call me to see how YOU can get on the list to have YOUR train layout designed by the best of the best, Chief Traingineer Roger Farkash and built by the Masterpiece TrainWorx Craftsmen – (877) 881-4997

Now that is truly something to toot your whistle for 🙂

Check out all the Orange and Blue treasure that is being put out for “Show & Buy” at tomorrow’s RED CARPET Event!

Mind you, they’ve just STARTED setting up for crying out loud.

Oh and here is the Lionel/LCCA Modular table set up and on display in the facility:

Roger is going to be one of the speakers tomorrow morning and will be giving a 45 minute seminar on scenic carving…

Shhhh, don’t tell anyone but the attendees at Roger’s seminar are in for a real big ANNOUNCEMENT he’ll be making JUST for serious “scenic train carving wanna be’s!”

Have you noticed, I’m not too good at keeping a “lid” on things…

Roger and I traveled to San Francisco this past weekend and assisted our good friends with the Lionel Collectors Club of America in their booth while attending the San Mateo – World’s Greatest Hobby show. We had a great time and like the old saying goes… a picture is worth a thousand words…so a bunch of pictures is worth thousands more – – – > Enjoy!

Valentines Day Treat for YOU!

Chief Traingineer – Roger Farkash, and Electrical Traingineer – George Watson, just returned from New York City where they took down the Lionel Holiday Layout which has been on display since November in the Grand Central Transit Museum.

What’s really cool about their trip and what I want to pass on to YOU as a Valentine’s Day treat are pictures Roger took first, with visitors before it was taken down, and then minus plexiglass…sans visitors.

So, without further ado… ENJOY and feel free to click on the images to get a closer look!

Happy Tracks!

Fully Charged…Fired Up…It’s Full Steam Ahead!

The first month of 2013 finds the Traingineers with two residential tables on the floor in various stages and at last count… we’re getting ready for six new projects to hit the floor in the first quarter of this year! What’s really cool are the states represented in those six proposals; Alaska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska & Georgia.

It’s almost our one year anniversary in our new location in South East Dallas and what a year it’s been! To have had BNSF be the very first layout built at 2808 McGowan Street certainly set the bar for our Traingineers and I continue to be amazed with the level of expertise they pour into each layout. The results keep getting better and better as does the fun and enjoyment from doing what we love to do.

Enjoy some pictures of the past year with both finished work and process shots…

Be sure to check out the new page I added to my blog: Working on the RailRoad where I will be posting pictures of projects in the shop on a weekly basis. Also, we are in the process of updating the TW TrainWorx website as last year we added over a half dozen new products to our TrainWorx line and all of them have yet to be included in our cyber store. That would be a bad case of me not keeping up with our talented Chief Traingineer who always has something popping out of his brain to become a product for YOU!

Here is a list of new product we added in 2012:

  • Albuquerque Station

  • Pennsylvania Station

  • Temple HO Station

  • Wooden RailRoad Table

  • B57 Bridge Kit

  • Christmas Ornament

  • Lionelville Dealer Display

Can’t wait for TrainWorx cyber store to be updated? Please feel free to email me at traindame@traindame.com with any questions you may have about our new products or to place your order with me personally…(be sure to ask  about my exclusive Traindame *Steal-of-a-deals) my toll free number is (877) 881-4997 – I look forward to talking with YOU :).
